During the 2025 Senior Citizens’ Awards spearheaded by Congressman Ompong Ordanes of Senior Citizens party-list held recently at the newly inaugurated MICE Center of the Quezon City Hall, the Seniors of Tiaong (one of the towns in Quezon Province which comprises one of the members of the CALABARZON Region), won one of the most distinctive prizes in the Gawad Parangal Para sa Mga Nakatatanda.
Aside from the recognition of their presence in the awards ceremonies, the Senior Citizens of Tiaong performed a graceful and memorable dance number to the delight not only of the audience but of lawmaker Ordanes, former Quezon City mayor Sonny Belmonte, broadcaster and Meralco Vice-President and Head for Corporate Communications, movie press Linda Cabuhayan, Cita Sarabia and Art Tapalla and paralegal adviser Mario Tolentino, newshen Lolly Acosta, among others.
The Tiaong Seniors, mostly females, travelled all the way from the CALABARZON just to be with their fellow elderlies who were all excited to be part of the event.
