On February 21, 2021, actress Jessy Mendiola and actor-TV host Luis Manzano tied the knot in a civil wedding officiated by Lipa City Mayor Africa at the San Benito Farm in the city.

It was an intimate affair with exclusive family members and select guests.

Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, now Vilma Santos-Recto and Edu Manzano (the parents of Luis) were the main attendees in the event.

It was this occasion where the groom shed tears of joy and excitement in embarking on his new journey as a married man.

All the challenges along the way like vigorously building a family were met by Luis heads up high.

Most of the time, after the wedding, Jessy and Luis were living in a house adjacent to Vilma’s abode.

Then Isabella Rose Tawile Manzano was born and the atmosphere in the Manzano household was never the same again.

Isabella Rose, who is known by her nickname Baby Peanut, became the little angel of the Manzanos, the Santoses and the Rectos.

As Baby Peanut grew to become a little girl, she has become the pet baby of the whole caboodle.

Although the little girl is a fulfillment in Jessy’s married life, she felt there was something missing in her womanhood.

Just recently, Mendiola revealed in her social media spaces that she was finally disclosing the reason why she got married again to Lucky, this time in a Catholic wedding where there would be a priest officiating the matrimony.

“And finally, the main reason why we got married again,” Jessy noted.
“Lucky and I promised each other that when the time is right, we would push through with our dream wedding,” she added.

Jessy wanted, some if not all members of her family, to be present in her dream wedding.

“Our dream was to get the Lord’s blessing on our union and we wanted both our families present during that special moment,” shared Mendiola.

Jessy’s parents, siblings and other relatives were present during the momentous event.

The presence of the bride’s dad Roger Tawile and her mom Judith Mendiola made the wedding extra special.

On the part of the groom, Vi and Doods were again around with Ate (a term of endearment to an older sister by blood or affinity) Vi’s hubby Ralph Recto, the current Secretary of Finance and their son Ryan Christian Recto.

Another important development was that Baby Peanut got to meet her kin, said Jessy.

“It was also the first time Rosie met my whole family from my parents down to her cousins,” Mendiola exclaimed.

Part of the dream wedding was the Catholic sacrament of matrimony where a priest officiated the union of two hearts in love.

“We got married in the chapel first (thank you for making time for us, (Father Tito Caluag) then we had a beautiful beach ceremony with all our loved ones,” described Jessy.

There was also the flower girl in the person of Baby Peanut, a ring bearer, maids of honor, best men, sponsors in the lighting of the candle, binding of the cord, godparents, among other members of the entourage.

It was indeed a magical moment for Jessy.

“Oh, what a wonderful feeling to be walked down the aisle by your parents. Seeing Rosie and Luis at the end of the aisle will be a ceremony embedded in my heart (& mind) forever. I never thought I’d be able to experience this. Thank you, Lord, for making this happen,” she noted.
