Is it even possible? A few hours after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio filed her candidacy for vice-president, her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, reportedly suddenly made the decision to run against his own daughter.

THE script for Halalan 2022 is indeed full of twists, turns and drama.

And just like in basketball, a lot of surprises can happen in the last two minutes of a tight game.

And as the deadline for substitution of candidates for the 2022 national elections draws near, this election promises to be even more surprising.

A few hours after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio filed her candidacy for vice-president in the 2022 polls, her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, reportedly suddenly made the decision to run against his own daughter.

Meanwhile, the administration's vice-presidential candidate Senator Christopher "Bong" Go has also changed his mind and filed his candidacy for president.

Go filed his papers before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Manila today, according Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar.

Meanwhile, President Duterte will run for vice-president in place of Go, Andanar added.

Although the President accompanied Go at the Comelec office, he has yet to file his own application.

Meanwhile, Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa also filed his withdrawal of his certificate of candidacy for president.
