Marketing and booking of local movies these days take various modes of production.

It is because the emergence of independent filmmaking has added new and adjusted selling strategies that affected if not stifled theatrical releasing.

Blocked screening is one structure of film showing in cinemas.

On top of it is the advent of Over-The-Top (OTT) platform as live streaming or digital screening.

So, who says local filmmaking is dead when a lot of movies are being made to bring to the eclectic taste of the viewing public?

Take the case of the screening of the youth-oriented film "When Magic Hurts" which premiered at the SM The Block Cinema 3.

While it is true that film adprom is a complicated and mind-bungling matter, Rems Entertainment doesn't make a fuss about it.

It is challenging for them where eventually they learn the tricks of the trade.

After its premiere screening, "When Magic Hurts" goes to Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija.

SM Cabanatuan is closer to home to the producers of the film.

According to Beth Jones, mom of actress Angelica Jones who also stars in the movie, the people behind Rems Entertainment are from Nueva Ecija.

"Maraming tagahanga sa Cabanatuan City ang mga artista ng pelikula na sina Beaver Magtalas, Maxine Trinidad at Mutya Orquia kaya siguradong dudumugin sila doon sa (The stars of the film have many fans so they will flock to the) premiere night," said Beth.
