Twenty-one top-performing companies based in Subic Bay Freeport receive Mabuhay Awards.

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — They came in various sizes and shapes, businesses all, invited by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chair and admin to receive awards and accolades for displaying the best business practices in the Freeport for the year about to end. These business establishments belong from the very big to the small and medium-size, but no matter, they were all representatives of what it takes to become model establishments inside this bustling Freeport.

A cursory look at the list of awardees will show their diversity: a dental clinic, a motor trading firm, a progressive IT company, a logistics firm, a manpower agency, a gym and athletic club, and several others. They all made life a little better for business and the community in Subic.

The SBMA did not fail to recognize, of course, the top exporter, the top importer, the best in eco-innovation, business development, corporate social responsibility, and the longest running companies in the Freeport. All these citations were bestowed by Chairman Tan to the business owners for their outstanding performance this year.

The award-giving program was called the Mabuhay Awards 2023 and held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center (SBECC) on Friday, December 15.

SBMA Chairman and Administrator Jonathan D. Tan led the awarding ceremony as the agency handed out trophies to 20 companies who have shown exemplary and innovative accomplishments during the year.
