Senior Weather Forecaster Aldczar Aurelio shows the latest movement of Super Typhoon Egay (international name 'Doksuri') at a media briefing held yesterday at the PAGASA Weather Forecasting Center in Quezon City.
It is currently declared under Signal No. 5 in most areas on its path. This, PAGASA said, could bring havoc to five regions and cautioned everyone to be on the watch. Aurelio said that as of yesterday, the latest weather bulletin on Super Typhoon Egay is located 270 km East Southeast of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan. Its strength is sustained winds of 175 km/h and gustiness of up to 215 km/h, west northwestward at 15 km/h.
