SPSPS Student Stands Out in Campus Idol Grand Finals

Tacloban City, Philippines – The Robinson's Place North Tacloban has seen countless dreams come alive and on Saturday, September 28, the highly anticipated Campus Idol 2024 competition has its breathtaking finale.

After weeks of intense auditions and performances, Francheska Luise Empino, representing Saint Paul School of Professional Studies (SPSPS), emerged as the Grand Winner, captivating the audience with her powerful vocals and stage presence.


Empino, a first-year Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management (BSREM) student, wasn't just any contestant.


This young woman had already proven her musical prowess on a national stage, having competed in The Voice Teens Philippines and reaching the finals under the guidance of the Filipino singer KZ Tandingan.


With that experience under her belt, Empino stepped onto the Campus Idol stage with a confidence that radiated through her powerful vocals and captivating stage presence.


Her performance resonated with the audience, earning her the coveted title and the hearts of the judges.


Robinsons North Tacloban Campus Idol is a talent competition that brings together students from various schools and universities across region 8 to showcase their vocal prowess.


The competition has become a popular event in Tacloban, providing a platform for young singers to showcase their talents and gain valuable experience.

With Empino’s talent and dedication, she is poised to make a mark in the music industry, carrying the torch of musical excellence for years to come.


“First of all, thank you so much, Lord, for guiding me all throughout my journey, specially kahapon kasi may sakit ako and all, pero na kaya ko kasi anjan Ka palagi for me. Thank you also to my very supportive parents, mama and papa, and also to my friends astro kids and also to Mikko Margallo. Thank you so much for being right here by my side since day one and also thank you cheering me up when I’m about to give up! And also, to Ma'am June na super supportive since nung nag auaudition palang ako at hanggang ngayon, thank you so much po! And also, to Ted Suson, si Lowe S. Taña, thank you so much po! Most specially, thank you thank you so much, Saint Paul School of Professional Studies for believing me, and also to our president, Dr. Erwin Vincent G. Alcala! Thank you so much po!
