SM Celebrates Women’s Month

Women-led brands in fashion, food, beauty, and wellness are now on display in numerous SM Supermalls nationwide, using its large platform to support women-owned micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the Philippines.

To jumpstart Women’s month, SM spearheaded the “Women at Work” forum in celebration of International Women’s Day 2021. They brought together life coaches, business sector and government organization experts, and women empowerment advocates.

RECOGNIZING the important role they are playing in our society, SM Supermalls have decided to highlight women in business by showcasing their products and services as they celebrate Women’s Month.

Women-led brands in fashion, food, beauty, and wellness are now on display in numerous SM Supermalls nationwide, using its large platform to support women-owned micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the Philippines.

SM, in partnership with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and UN Women, brought together women entrepreneurs to showcase their products in select SM malls for a limited time.

Shoppers are encouraged to check out the displays not just to find unique finds, but to uplift women-owned businesses as well.

On top of this, women customers will also receive special deals and promotions for the whole month of March.

On Wednesdays, women shoppers can avail up to 50% discount on beauty, fashion, and wellness items.

The forum tackles challenges and opportunities of women during the Covid-19 pandemic, learning from the experiences of women entrepreneurs. The forum is hosted by Karen Davila, multi-awarded broadcast journalist and women empowerment advocate.

“Women at Work” features Chelo Monasterio, President of The SM Store. She is joined by Rosalyn Mesina of UN Women, Gina Romero of Connected Women, Gina Katigbak, Life Coach and Executive of SM Supermalls, and Jamm San Juan of Frankie & Friends General Store who will share her experiences on finding success amid the pandemic.
