Two wanted South Koreans were nabbed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4 upon deplaning from an AirAsia flight from Palawan. They have warrants of arrest and a red notice from the Interpol. They are now under the custody of the Bureau of Immigration prior to their deportation.

Two South Korean fugitives were nabbed on Sunday night at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 4 for the crime committed in their country.

Ki Sunglae Jo and Sang Kyung Han, both 35, are on the Interpol's wanted list. They had just arrived from Puerto Princesa at 8:50 p.m. on board AirAsia Philippines when operatives from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and PNP-Aviation Security Unit and the Consular officer of the Korean Embassy apprehended them.

The BI officers headed by BI Fugitive and Search Unit (FSU) Rendel Ryan Sy said they have warrant of deportation against the Koreans dated August 2, 2017, and Red Notices issued by the Interpol.

The FSU coordinated with the aviation police and to the airline management about two Korean fugitives who are on board the flight bound for Manila.

The two have warrants of arrest issued by Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office for fraud and Hong Sung District Office for violation of Telecommunication Business Act.

Both of them are now in the custody of BI pending their deportation while six other Koreans who were their companions in Palawan were being held for investigation.
