47th Gawad Urian Best Actress Charlie Dizon and versatile actor Carlo Aquino chose a paradise to give them an atmosphere of tranquility and comfort to make their dreams come true.
The paradise, however short-lived, was Alta Veranda de Tibig, a cozy garden in Silang, Cavite, where the young couple exchanged "I dos" recently.
Silang is an idyllic town in the CALABARZON region where most dreamers gather to weave hope and ideals of life and realize them.
It was in Silang where Charlie and Carlo built their dreams as they celebrated their wedding day.
Dizon was in her pure white frock, its train was the endless love she would shower Aquino with and vice-versa the rest of their lives.
Right after Charlie won the Best Actress plum from the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (MPP) for her sterling performance in the Dwein Ruedas Baltazar's film "Third World Romance," she and family prepared for her wedding the following day.
It was a Saturday night and the local show business was agog in the upcoming Aquino-Dizon nuptials.
The next day, Sunday, all roads led to Silang.
Families of both Dizon (Charlie's maternal name while Matienzo is her paternal name) and Aquino took various routes going to Silang from the point of origins.
Guests and well-wishers travelled from different parts of the regions, mostly from NCR.
Charlie and Carlo's wedding was dreamlike with various types of colorful flowers decked the hall of Alta Veranda de Tibig.
A giant cake was witness to the abundance of Dizon and Aquino's union.
Charlie's bridesmaids included Belle Mariano, Sylvia Sanchez, Kaila Estrada, Adrian Lindayag, Sue Ramirez, Alexa Ilacad and Elisse Joson.
Major sponsors were Vilma Santos-Recto, Lani Mercado, Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr., ABS-CBN big bosses Carlo Katigbak, Charo Santos-Concio, Cory Vidanes, among others.
Meanwhile, the everlasting paradise of the newlyweds will be beautiful house to be built by the couple.
