The recent celebration of the Anilag Festival, from March 16 to 21, showcased the unique beauty, talent and creativity of various cities and municipalities in Laguna province.

And the City of San Pedro is no exception.

During the weeklong celebration of Laguna's "Mother of All Festivals," San Pedro City officials who participated in the event highlighted the city’s rich culture, thriving local enterprises, and vibrant performing arts through its dynamic and thoughtfully curated booth.

At the heart of San Pedro’s participation was a showcase of proudly local products and delicacies that reflect the city’s entrepreneurial spirit and culinary heritage.

Festival-goers enjoyed well-loved treats such as Universal Bakery’s signature mamon and ensaymada, alongside traditional favorites like tira-tira sugar candies and suman.

Also featured were products from MIKA (Makabagong Ina at Kababaihan tungo sa Asenso), including eco-friendly candles and handcrafted bags made from recycled tarpaulins, demonstrating the city’s commitment to sustainability and women empowerment.

The booth was conceptualized, curated, and spearheaded by the dedicated team of the City Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (CTCAO), whose efforts brought together local businesses and creatives into one cohesive and engaging presentation.

Beyond the product showcase, San Pedro also made its mark in the Anilag Festival’s cultural performances.

The city’s talented youth dancers actively participated in the Sayawit competition, delivering a lively and expressive performance of the festival’s music.

They were accompanied by the energetic beats of the San Pedro Drum Beaters, whose live performance added excitement and pride to the city’s representation.

San Pedrenses' beauty and talent were also showcased at the Lakan and Lakambini ng Laguna competition.

Through its participation, the City Government of San Pedro continues to promote local industries, empower communities, and celebrate the creativity and talent of its people on a regional stage.
