It's time for the "best of the best" of San Pedro City's youth to showcase their beauty and talents!

Last March 23, contestants for the Ginoo at Binibining San Pedro got the chance to display their best at the Creative Costume Competition held at the San Pedro City Hall.

Dressed in fantastic costumes that aim to showcase the best not only of San Pedro City but of the Philippines as well, all 14 male and 17 female candidates, representing the city’s 27 barangays, wowed audiences and judges alike with their “prowess” on the stage as they set themselves out to prove that they are worthy of representing the city.

"From intricate arrangements that told of humble beginnings, to extravagant assemblages that emulated everyday life, each candidate was adorned in ensembles that reflected the core of each barangay," the San Pedro City Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (CTCAO) said in a social media statement.

“San Pedrenses and judges alike were once again reminded of the colorful tapestry that is our city, and the culture that serves as the vestige of San Pedro's history,” it added.

Big win for San Pedrenses

This year’s Ginoo at Binibining San Pedro competition was, no doubt, buoyed by the “big win” of the city's official contestant, Patrick Henry Pagalilauan, at the recent Ginoong Laguna 2024 competition last March 16.

Pagalilauan, a 22-year-old medical technology student from Barangay Pacita 1, bested other contestants from all over the province to be crowned Ginoong Laguna as the province celebrated the Anilag (Ani ng Laguna) Festival.

“Throughout the competition, Patrick showcased not only remarkable looks, but also charisma that captivated the judges and audience alike. He exuded confidence and poise on the runway, earning him the titles of Best in Formal Wear and Swimwear,” the San Pedro CTCAO noted.
“As the new Ginoong Laguna, Patrick Henry Pagalilauan now embarks on a new chapter filled with opportunities to make a positive impact in our community. We have no doubt that he will continue to inspire others, champion causes close to his heart, and serve as an inspiration for generations to come.”
