Beneath the lush forest of Pandin Lake – part of the “Seven Lakes” of San Pablo City, Laguna – is a rare gem that remains undisturbed.
Who would have imagined that Pandin Lake's breathtaking beauty could be found just a short walk from a busy highway?
The only dirt road leading to the valuable gem is small enough for motorcycles, and it passes right next to the locals' houses.
Pandin Lake can take one's breath away with its calm teal waters surrounded by thick greenery that appears incredibly beautiful from the distance.
This jewel has an effortless elegance and grandeur that are found only in some of nature's most pristine creations.
Bamboo rafts float on its immaculate waters, and the only sounds you'll hear are the crisp laughing of local kids enjoying a much-needed dip, birds chirping, and some active conversations. The place sounds like its own natural tune played on a loop.
If you come from Manila, you can visit the place by riding a bus at the Buendia/Kamias bus terminals which are bound for Lucena, Quezon. Get off the bus in SM and take a jeepney to the correct location. Take a walk from the last stop inside the public market to the 7/11 by the church, then get on a jeepney headed to “Ilog”. Go to the Brgy. Sto. Angel is right in front of the Pandin Lake gate, marked with the words PANDIN LAKE in large, bold letters. Depending on your preference, you can either hire a local guide or ask them for directions to Pandin Lake and explore by walking.
The best part? Entrance is free. Just make sure you don’t leave any garbage in the area.
