Runway repair disrupts several flights at NAIA

Several international flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were disrupted due to the extended regular maintenance repair of Runway 06/24, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said on Sunday.

"The extended maintenance hours will affect scheduled flights using wide body aircraft. International flight operations shall continue on a limited scale," the MIAA said in a statement.

Regular maintenance repair of the airport's international runway 06/24 has been extended from 1:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m., (Sunday dawn) July 24, 2022, to 6:30 a.m. for safety of aircraft using the runway 06/24.

As a result, according to MIAA, there were several flights affected during the maintenance hours which been delayed or diverted within the 3:30 a.m. to 6:20 a.m. window.

The domestic Runway 13/31 on the other hand will remain open.

MIAA earlier advised the relatives and friends of passengers whose flights will be affected to check the status of flights by calling the NAIA flight information.

As of 6:55 a.m. of July 24, 2022, the list of affected flights due to extended runway closure are:
