Gen Z might not be familiar with them but they should be oriented that Rosemarie Gil and Eddie Mesa are two of the most influential veteran couples this side of town.
Rosemarie and Eddie are the parents of siblings Michael de Mesa, Mark Gil and Cherie Gil.

The seasoned actress is a competent multimedia thespian while the versatile actor is a singer as well who was dubbed as Elvis Presley of the Philippines in the 60s.
Recently, the power couple made headlines when they went to Siargao Island in the Visayas and paid a visit to their descendants there.
Apparently, just in time for kin as a center of controversy, Rose and Ed hurried to the island to accomplish a filial mission.
Andi Eigenmann, the controversial actress these days who is embroiled in an online tussle with her fiancé Philmar Alipayo and a Swedish woman named Pernilla Sjoo.
The brouhaha started when a digital photo of Pernilla, her arm stretched out side-by-side with Philmar’s, tattooed with matching identical images that say “today, tomorrow, forever.” That’s just “224”.
Eigenmann was relentless in her online accusations against a nameless woman she considered a friend but turned out to be an “enemy.”
According to Andi, the subject she was pinpointing betrayed her when she found out the woman was egging her fiancé to break up with her.
The messages, of course, reached the woman who turned out to be Pernilla.
Sjoo answered back without naming names as well but you could sense it was Eigenmann she was referring to.
Here’s Pernilla posts online: “I just don’t understand why some people have so much hate in their minds and bodies. I hope that if you ever make a hurtful comment, you can still sleep peacefully at night and smile knowing you’ve caused someone pain. I’m still human din naman. I still feel hurt, and when it’s too much, it cuts deep.
“I hope you never become the reason someone cries themselves to sleep or question their worth—asking why they weren’t good enough,” wrote Pernilla in her Instagram.
Eigenmann cleared the cloud of doubt, though, that Philmar didn’t cheat on her.
In view of all this mess, Alipayo, once and for all, gathered his wits and fixed everything in stride.
In a reel with his family—Andi, Loli and Koa—having fun on cam, Philmar captioned the video clip with these lines: “It went all way too far and should have been handled in private,” said Philmar in an online note.
“Ok na kami sanan (We are alright),” quipped Alipayo.
“Ok ra kami (We are okay already,” he said.
Still, the grandparents’ instincts of Rosemarie and Eddie to render spiritual pieces of advice and inspirations to Andi, Philmar, Lilo and Koa were just in time.
Rosemarie had a memorable bonding with her great grandchildren like hugging and kissing Ellie Ejercito, Andi’s daughter with actor Jake Ejercito, and playing time with siblings Lilo and Koa in a store of native products in Siargao.
It was fun and an accomplishment of apos-tolic (taking care of grandkids) mission with Andi and her babies.
