ISDA volunteers said they will continue to serve and uplift the health and welfare of Filipinos through various activities and outreach programs whenever and wherever they can and in accordance with the values and platform of Mayor Inday Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio.

MEMBERS of the Inday Sara Duterte Ako (ISDA)-Volunteer Support Group conducted a free circumcision operation for young boys in the municipality of Magallanes, Cavite last Independence Day.

The medical mission was attended by 135 boys ages eight to fifteen years old at the covered court of Barangay Medina.

It was spearhead by chapter volunteers of the organization in the province along with the assistance of willing doctors and nurses.

All needed medicines and medical equipment were shouldered and provided by the volunteer group.

Prior coordination was also made with the local government of Magallanes for the identification of the young individuals who specifically need the operation.

All mandated health protocols were properly observed and enforced during the activity.

According to the group, they are planning to go to Laguna next to conduct the similar outreach program for members of the community who don’t have access and cannot afford such basic medical services.

Moreover, ISDA said that they will continue to serve and uplift the health and welfare of Filipinos through various activities and outreach programs whenever and wherever they can and in accordance to the values and platform of Mayor Inday Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio.

Other groups

Back in May, groups bearing the same initials sprouted, these include the Inday Sara Duterte Alliance, Inday Sara Duterte Advocacy among others which are campaigning for the Mayor to run in 2022.

In terms of precedence, on the other hand, the Inday Sara Duterte Ako were the first to be established, which can be traced back in 2018.

Moreover, the group official launched their outreach programs on January 31 that include feeding activities, coastal cleanups, tree planting, and relief operations.

Hence, in response to the sudden spread of other organizations, the group released a statement.

“Thus, Inday Sara Duterte Ako is not in any way associated with other groups purporting to be ISDA. While we are respecting these groups' intention, the methods by which they are promoting it do not conform to ours,” said the group on their Facebook post.

Last May, the group conducted a month-long outreach programs in celebration of Mayor Inday’s birth month.

The Davao Mayor herself has repeatedly personally thanked the group back in March for shifting their activities and events towards the benefit of the poor. (JT)
