A market vendor shows galunggong (round scad) which used to be called poor man’s fish but does not seem to fit that description anymore.

In fact, because of its prohibitive price which is as high as P240 to P290 per kilo, it is now beyond the reach of ordinary Filipino families who have to content themselves of eating dried fish (tuyo) while dreaming of galunggong on their table.
