The provincial government of Laguna has assured residents who will be affected by the construction of the Laguna Regional Hospital in Bay, Laguna of proper relocation sites for them.

Recently, the Laguna Provincial Urban Development and Housing Office (PUDHO) led the drawing of lots for residents who were residing at the property of the provincial government in Barangay Puypuy in Bay, where the hospital is now under construction.

Governor Ramil Hernandez, along with PUDHO head Vivencio Malabanan, Bay Municipal Administrator Atty. Joanna Patricia Padrid, and officials from the National Housing Authority (NHA) led the drawing of lots for the house and lot assignment for the new Laguna Heights housing development project, also located in Barangay Puypuy.

Affected residents also signed the Individual Loan Agreement and Conditional Contract to Sell for their new homes.

Aside from the new housing lots, the provincial government also provided livelihood packs for the residents.

According to the Laguna Provincial Information Office, residents affected by the construction of the hospital are temporarily housed in a property owned by the local government of Bay in Barangay Dila until the NHA completes the construction of the Laguna Heights site.

Construction of the Laguna Regional Hospital, which is slated to become a tertiary-level hospital that will cater to the specialized needs of Lagunense patients, had been kickstarted last May 2024.
