Rebecca Chuaunsu wins Best Actress at Taipei Film Festival

Chinoy actress Rebecca Chuaunsu has won Best Actress for the film "Her Locket" at the 2024 Wu Wei Taipei International Film Festival held at the Westar Theater in Ximedang Taipei, Taiwan last Sunday, September 1.

"To God be the Glory," Rebecca posted on her social media account.

Initially, Chuaunsu delivered her acceptance speech in Chinese but she shifted to Filipino her thanksgiving words.



"Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat (Good evening to all of you). I'm an actress and producer from the Philippines," exclaimed Rebecca.


Chuaunsu thanked director Njel de Mesa, a certain Jam and the jurors of the Wu Wei Taipei International Film Festival in her speech.



"Her Locket," an autobiographical film about family, conflicts and inheritance issues, also stars Elora Espano, Sophie Ng, Boo Gabunada, Benedict Chua, and Francis Mata, among others.


The film, directed by J. E. Tiglao, is one of the official entries to the 2024 Sinag Maynila Film Festival of Solar Entertainment and internationally acclaimed filmmaker Brillante Ma. Mendoza.
