The Department of Interior and Local Government recognized the Province of Quezon as compliant with Good Housekeeping.
THE provincial government of Quezon, as well as the local governments of two cities and 35 municipalities, have all passed the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) 2021 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping.
In the provincial category, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal earned the Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) standards.
In the city category, only Lucena City and Tayabas City complied with GFH standards.
The LGUs include Agdangan, Alabat, Atimonan, Buenavista, Calauag, Candelaria, Catanauan, Dolores, Gen. Nakar, General Luna, Guinayangan, Gumaca, Infanta, Lopez, Lucban, Macalelon, Mauban, Mulanay, Padre Burgos, Pagbilao, Panukulan, Perez, Pitogo, Plaridel, Polillio, Quezon, Real, Sampaloc, San Antonio, San Francisco, Sariaya, Tagkawayan, Tiaong, Unisan, and Jomalig.
The DILG certified the list on November 5, and the regional office here released the list through its social media account.
The Good Financial Housekeeping seal considers comprehensive development plans and executive-legislative agendas, Commission on Audit observations, audit findings implementation, annual budget, updated Local Revenue Code, quarterly and annual statements of receipts and expenditures, compliance with the Anti-Red Tape Law, full disclosure of local budget and finances, bids and public offerings, use of performance monitoring tools or scorecard systems, and recognition received.
