The Quezon Police Provincial Office (PPO) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sariaya further strengthened their partnership with the signing of a usufruct agreement on May 6 at the Balai Lingkuran, Barangay Sampaloc 2, Sariaya, Quezon.

The pact would give the Philippine National Police (PNP) the use of a parcel of land donated by the local government for 25 years.

The site will be used for the new police station, a move seen to enhance operational capacity and bring police services closer to the residents of Sariaya.

Police Brigadier General Hansel M. Marantan, regional director of Police Regional Office CALABARZON, together with Sariaya Municipal Mayor Marivic T. Gayeta, led the ceremonial signing.

Quezon PPO Director Police Colonel Romulo A. Albacea and Sariaya Municipal Police Station Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Marlon M. Manalo also witnessed the event.

PBGEN Marantan, in his message, extended his gratitude to Sariaya LGU for the unrelenting trust and support of the PNP, stressing that partnerships like these are important in the improvement of police services and the safety of the community.

PCOL Albacea, on the other hand, stressed that a strong partnership between the police and local government is necessary in maintaining peace and order and in providing quality public service.

“Support and unity from our local government units greatly help us improve our ability to provide fast, honest, and felt services to the people,” PCOL Albacea said.

Officials noted that this partnership demonstrates the shared commitment of the PNP and its local partners to creating safer communities, in line with the “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman” program.
