Fans are now welcome to watch the Premier Volleyball League live.

After two years of closed door games for volleyball, PVL finally welcomes back fans for the quarterfinals.

For the first time since March 2020, fans of volleyball can now cheer on their favorite teams as the Philippine Volleyball League gives the green light to the public at full capacity. PVL will return to FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan on March 28.

The elimination round of the conference was played at the Paco Arena in Manila. Originally, the quarter finals were set to start on Sunday at the same venue, but the league has since opted to bring the playoffs to San Juan.

The FilOil Flying V Center is being utilized as the city’s vaccination center until Sunday, March 27. Though the league is still finalizing the health protocols to be followed in the new venue, there are some given rules that everyone is expected to abide by.

Fans will be required to show proof of vaccination, and still wear masks. Social distancing measures, however, will be completely scrapped, according to league president Ricky Palou, meaning that the league is expecting a full house of around 6,000 people inside the FilOil arena.

The PVL (Premier Volleyball League) is still working on ticket-selling details and will post the mechanics soon.

"We're hoping that people will come to watch. I mean, I think the players will enjoy it more, if the crowd is there, screaming and shouting. So we hope they'll come to watch the games," said PVL President Ricky Palou.

A handful of blockbuster quarterfinal matches will greet the fans back as the Creamline Cool Smashers, carrying a twice-to-beat advantage, will already face the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in a 2021 Open Conference finals rematch, while the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, also with a twice-to-beat perk, will face the PLDT High Speed Hitters.

Meanwhile, the F2 Cargo Movers, who faced a back-to-back loss in their last two games of the elimination round, will have to defeat the Petro Gazz Angels twice in order to advance. The Cignal HD Spikers seek to keep their undefeated run going against the winless BaliPure Water Defenders.
