Remember Ben Yalung, the top honcho of the major film outfit Cine Suerte, Inc. especially in the early 80s?
Ben, also known in his business code as M-7, was the producer of the classics "Cain at Abel" and "Karnal" directed by now both National Artist for Film Lino Brocka and Marilou Diaz-Abaya, respectively.
Aside from producing, Yalung also ventured into directing, mostly action films like "Partida," "Kumander Dante," "Basag ang Pula," "Target: Sparrow Unit," "Anak ni Zuma," among others.
His filmic vision shifted to religious films like"Kristo," "Divine Mercy ni Sister Faustina," "Ama Namin" and "Birhen ng Manaoag."
“I will concentrate on religious films and the story of Archbishop Teofilo Camomot is an ideal project," said Ben, who considers this endeavor a sort of directing comeback.
Filming of the filmbio will start before the year ends from the script by Celso de Guzman.
