AN expensive Louis Vuitton bag was stolen from the check-in luggage of a Filipino passenger who recently returned from the United States.

Efren San Sebastian went to the Airport Police and filed a complaint for his stolen branded bag which he bought for US$2,000.

San Sebastian took a United Airlines flight on December 29 from New York, and had a stopover in Guam.

He also had stopover in Japan where he took a connecting flight via Japan Airlines bound for Manila.

Upon reaching Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminal 3, he learned that the airline has not brought his checked luggage on his flight.

He then report it to the airline ground staff and was told that his bag was inadvertently left behind in Japan airport.

The airline said that they are working out for the recovery of his luggage.

San Sebastian said the following day he communicated the airline through email asking about the news for his baggage.

The ground crew then told San Sebastian that his luggage was already been on board a Japan Airlines flight to Philippines and will be delivered to his address in Manila.

San Sebastian's luggage arrived at his house on January 5, 2022 through a courier firm, Journey Baggage Handling Transportation Inc., which has an office in Pasay City.

He hastily opened the suitcase but realized that the item, which the amount equivalent to P100,000, was missing.

"Nag-iiyak ang misis nang hindi makita ang bag. Hindi ako makapaniwala na magnanakaw ang mga Japanese dahil sobra silang honest. Malaki ang aking paniniwala na dito lang sa atin nawala ang bag (My wife was crying when the bag was stolen. I don't believe that Japanese take someone's belonging because they are honest. I suspect that stealing happened here)," San Sebastian said.
