Prices to rise again for diesel, kerosene, and gasoline

Prices for diesel, kerosene, and gasoline will increase per liter effective on October 18.

Diesel, gasoline, and kerosene prices will rise once again tomorrow, October 18.

Fuel companies such as Shell, Cleanfuel, Seaoil, Caltex, PTT Philippines, Unioil, and Phoenix Petroleum will increase their gasoline and diesel prices based on the average Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS), Inquirer reported.

MOPS is the daily average price of refined petroleum products traded in Singapore. it is used as barometer for prices of petroleum products.

Caltex will apply the changes by 12:01 am with its platinum and silver gasoline increasing by P0.80 per liter, kerosene by P2.90 per liter, and diesel by P2.70.

Shell, Seaoil, PTT Philippines, Unioil, and Phoenix Petroleum, will have the change of prices by 6 a.m..

These fuel companies will have an increase of P0.80 per liter in gasoline and P2.70 per liter in Diesel. Shell and Seaoil would also have an increase of P2.90 per liter of kerosene.

Cleanfuel will apply the changes by 4:01 p.m. with gasoline increasing by P0.80 per liter and diesel by P2.70 per liter.

This is the second week in a row that local oil companies have raised their pricing. However, the increases were lower than the previous week.

The increments have brought net price increases for this year to P25.60 per liter for gasoline, P42.80 per liter for diesel, and P32.80 per liter for kerosene.
