Despite Escolin's temporary suspension, Vice Mayor Botoy Asis capably assumed the town's leadership role, steering them toward victory.
Joining President Roxas on the winner's podium were Sapian, Sigma, Dumarao, and Cuartero, each showcasing their own unique contributions to Capiz's rich history.
The parade, graced by 16 towns spanning the 1st and 2nd districts of Capiz, Roxas City, and educational institutions like Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion and Filamer Christian University, was a vibrant tapestry of culture and tradition.
The event also featured rare giant floats and representatives from various religious communities in Capiz, adding to the spectacle.
Starting from SM City Roxas and winding its way through the city plaza and main streets to Pueblo de Panay, the parade served as a poignant reminder of Capiz's storied past. Each float depicted the bravery of Capiz's soldiers who fought valiantly during World War II.
In the city plaza, Capiz Gov. Fredenil H. Castro and City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas echoed sentiments of pride, emphasizing the importance of showcasing Capiz's heritage to all.
Notable figures in attendance included 2nd District Representative Baby Jane Castro, Dumalag Mayor Khuku Castro, 1st District Representative Tawi Billones, Vice Gov. James Magbanua, and numerous local officials from various municipalities.
