Several domestic flights were affected by power outage at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 which hit early Monday morning.
A power outage hit the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on early Monday that caused delays in several domestic flights.
According to Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the power failure occurred at 1:05 a.m. which temporarily crippled operations and disrupted 40 departing flights.
The MIAA said a standby power "is now supplying to critical facilities enabling computer systems of airlines and immigration to function partially of both inbound and outbound passengers. As a result, delayed flights shall be expected."
Its personnel at Terminal 3 are doing the normal routine of providing assistance and answering inquiries.
Meralco’s field personnel and the airport’s technical team are looking into the cause of the power failure.
"The MIAA management apologizes to air travelers for the inconvenience that the situation may have brought to them," MIAA said.
The 40 cancelled flights are:
