The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ready for all possible untoward incidents during the third State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. on Monday, July 22.
That was the assurance of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr. during the send-off of troops to be deployed for the SONA at Camp Karingal in Quezon City Friday, July 19. The PNP also showcased the advanced equipment that will be used by policemen deployed during the SONA, including newly-acquired anti-drone equipment that can be utilized against possible threats to the security of the President and other government officials.
