Around 200 former Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadets, graduates and non-graduates, attended the 4Cl Club Metro Manila’s (4CCMM) First Fellowship and Organizational Dinner Meeting last Saturday, April 13.
Held at the historic Kalayaan Hall of Club Filipino at Greenhills, San Juan City, the occasion saw the meeting of long lost mistahs, upperclassmen and underclassmen even as discussions on the fate and future of the new organization were also made.
The 29th Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Benjamin Acorda, Jr. PMA ‘91, graced the affair and delivered an inspirational message to the PMAers present.
Former senator Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan, PMA ‘71 and Medal for Valor Awardee Ariel Querubin, PMA ’79, also attended.
Moreover, the organization’s interim trustees and officers led by its Interim Trustee and Chairman, former PNP and LTO Chief, Roberto “Bobby” Lastimoso PMA ‘67, interim trustee, President & CEO, Bernie Miaque PMA ‘87, Audie Mongao PMA ‘92, Leo Bungubung Jr PMA ‘98, Edmund Tan PMA ‘80, Raul Villanueva PMA ‘90, and Ace Esmeralda PMA ‘89, were also formally introduced to the group.
The said interim trustees and officers were later unanimously voted unopposed to the 7-member Board of Trustees of 4Cl Club Metro Manila. The election was conducted under the supervision of lawyer Neil Albopera.
The program proper started with the unveiling of the 4CL COLOUR together with the PMA flag. Lastimoso for his part delivered the welcome address, followed by Miaque’s introduction of the group’s rationale. Awards and recognitions under such categories as most senior attendees among others, were also presented during the program, where those who joined came from PMA Classes 1967 to 2022.
Awarded as most senior in the civilian or private sector present was Arthur “Tex” Balmaceda PMA ‘71, while in active police or military service present was Dennis Pacis PMA ‘91.
But that’s not all, there were lucky attendees who even went home winners in the raffle draws.
The group was entertained by Cebu’s Angel Fire dance troupe, Cavaliers Band, Don Conejo’s Band and comedian James Macasero aka “Moymoy Palaboy.”
