Pinoy filmmaker bags major win at 28th BIFAN NAFF

BUCHEON CITY, SOUTH KOREA--It was a triumph for the Filipinos anywhere in the world when their compatriot Kenneth Dagatan won two major prizes at the recently concluded Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF) of the ongong 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) held Tuesday night, July 9, at the Webtoon Convergence Center in this city.

As the writer and director of the film project "Molder," Dagatan won the Blood Window Partnership Award with Argentina and the Bucheon Award, the highest award of the Project Market of the NAFF.

"Molder" will be supported by the Ventana Sur Blood Window Festival in Argentina while the Bucheon Award entitles Dagatan to cash prizes.

"Thank you, thank you...," said Kenneth when he received the Buncheon Award.

"BIFAN has been a part of my life," he exclaimed when he accepted the Blood Window grant.

Meanwhile, Bradley Liew, producer of "Molder" thanked BIFAN for supporting emerging filmmakers in the genre tradition.

"Molder" is a co-production among the Philippines, Italy and Singapore.
