Also known as the Turumba Church, it is located in the town of Pakil, Laguna, along Tavera Street. The church is officially designated as the Diocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores de Turumba, making it one of the most spiritually significant churches in the province.


The church’s architectural heritage is often compared to European churches. It features a well-preserved convento, beautifully painted ceilings, three intricate retablos, and a stunning gold-leafed main altar. Beyond its physical beauty, the church and its Turumba tradition form part of the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage and were even mentioned in Dr. Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere.


If you’re coming from Manila, there are several ways to reach the church:


  • By Bus – Travel time may take approximately 7 hours and 21 minutes, with fares ranging from ₱429 to ₱503.

  • By Taxi or Car – The fastest option, taking about 1 hour and 11 minutes, with an estimated fare of ₱1,100 to ₱1,400.

  • Via PITX (Bus Route) – The most affordable option, costing around ₱339 to ₱424.


While if you are coming from San Pedro Laguna, here are several options to reach the church:


  • By Bus – Travel time may take approximately 1 hour and 51 minutes, with fares ranging from ₱497-₱567
  • By Car – Taking about 1 hour and 12 minutes, with an estimated fare of ₱581 to ₱840

  • By Taxi – The fastest option, costing around ₱1,200 to ₱1,500.
