Who’s the best?
Meanwhile, a survey conducted by OCTA Research in November revealed that 71 percent of Filipinos perceive UP as the “best university” in the Philippines.
Following UP, 15 percent chose DLSU, and 14 percent selected Ateneo.
The perception of UP as the top institution spanned all geographic areas and socio-economic classes.
This non-commissioned survey, involving 1,200 respondents, had a margin of error of ±3%.
OCTA Research, founded by UP professors, provided the findings as a public service.
With continued recognition and local support, Philippine universities are making their mark in the global academic landscape.
