Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced on Tuesday, June 24, that it has avoided flying over conflict zones in the Middle East and reassured that its flights to and from Dubai will continue to operate as scheduled.

"Our routes do not fly over conflict-affected areas in the Middle East, allowing us to operate safely. We continue to actively monitor the situation and will share further updates as necessary," CEB said in a Viber statement.

Cebu Pacific mainly operates flights to Dubai and does not have direct flights to other Middle Eastern countries, particularly Riyadh.

"We don't fly to Riyadh. We had a wet lease deal with flydeal, a Saudi Arabia-based low cost carrier," CEB added.

The low-cost carrier stated that they understand some travelers may still have concerns.

For passengers booked on Dubai flights scheduled for June 24, the airline is providing flexible choices, such as free rebooking and the option to convert the Travel fund, to give them peace of mind. These alternatives can be accessed online up to two hours prior to the scheduled departure.

"We encourage passengers to regularly check their flight status at cebupacificair.com/flight-status and to update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal to receive timely flight notifications.

Cebu Pacific management said that they fly to Dubai with 10 flights weekly, utilizing the Airbus A330neo, which has a capacity of 459 passengers.

At the same time, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has canceled its Manila - Doha, Manila - Dubai - Manila, and Manila - Riyadh - Manila due to the developing situation in the Middle East.

PAL has advised its passengers to regularly check the status of their flight by logging on to www.philippineairlines.com and visiting the Flight Status section (https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/flight-status ), or checking further advisories on its official PAL Facebook page.
