AirAsia Philippines has blacklisted a male passenger who made a bomb threat against the low-cost airline after not being able to board his flight.
The AirAsia management has taken the threat seriously and decided to place the passenger on the airlines blacklist. This means that he will no longer be able to fly with AirAsia.
The passenger, identified as Lester Morales, was supposed to board flight Z2-322 bound for Tacloban, but he came late at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 and missed his flight.
According to reports from the PNP - Aviation Security Unit (AVSEU), since Morales was not able to catch his flight, he talked to a female AirAsia ground service agent (GSA) for options. He was informed at the airline check-in counter 22 at about 3:30 a.m. to rebook.
Morales, obviously displeased and angry, uttered words before he left the counter, "Sarap pasabugin ang airline nyo (It's nice to blow up your airline)!"
The female GSA promptly reported the incident to the aviation security on duty.
Morales was later invited and brought to the PNP-AVSEU office for record purposes, while AirAsia chose not to pursue a case against the passenger.
The airline said the incident did not disrupt flight operations but Morales was but on perpetual blacklist.
