Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced that it will start offering nonstop flights between Manila and Da Nang, Vietnam, beginning on July 1, 2025.

The latest Vietnam expansion move will have an initial three flights per week.

Opening the new route between Manila and Da Nang marks PAL's third significant expansion in Vietnam this year. PAL holds the distinction of being the first Asian airline to establish regular flights to Vietnam in September 1986.

The airline said it recently upgraded its Manila-Hanoi-Manila route to a daily service, and will launch flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) starting May 2.

"We at Philippine Airlines are excited to strengthen our close relationship with the Vietnamese people with the introduction of direct Manila-Da Nang flights," said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Stanley Ng. He added,

"PAL is committed to offering greater connectivity and promoting tourism and commerce between our capital city and the central Vietnamese heartland. We look forward to welcoming more leisure and business travelers onboard our flights to Da Nang."

Da Nang offers a mix of rich history, picturesque beaches, and modern attractions.

PAL's Manila-Da Nang flights depart from Ninoy Aquino International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, deploying Airbus A321 aircraft that accommodate up to 199 passengers.

In addition to the new PAL Manila-Da Nang, Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City routes and the daily Manila-Hanoi services, PAL also operates eight weekly flights between Manila and Ho Chi Minh City.
