Flag carrier, Philippine Airlines will increase flight frequency in certain routes this Holy Week to ensure that domestic travelers can reach their destinations and be reunited with family and loved ones.

Flight frequency of flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has increased on certain domestic routes in line with travel demand this coming Holy Week.

PAL said effective today flights between Manila and Bacolod would increase to five from three daily, and flights between Cebu and Bacolod will be four instead of three weekly.

Flights from Manila and Basco will be three times daily beginning April 11 (Monday) from just one weekly.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said that from the current three flights between Manila and Legazpi, the airline will operate four flights on these days: April 14, 16, 17 and 18.

Villaluna added that from current two flights a day between Manila and Busuanga (Coron), the carrier will operate three flights on each of the following days - April 14, 16 and 17.

From the current two flights a day between Manila and Tagbilaran (Panglao), PAL will operate three flights on each of the following days - April 13 and 14. Also, from the current one flight daily between Manila and Siargao, PAL will operate two flights on April 13, 14 and 15.

PAL advised domestic travelers to check with the local government offices of both their origin point and final destination on travel requirements, which may differ from province to province and are revised constantly.

Villaluna said that PAL domestic flights depart from and arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2.

On Thursday, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal and other government agencies operating at NAIA conducted inspection at the four terminals of the airport in preparation for the Holy Week.
