When it rains, it pours.

It really symbolically happened to the filmmaking career of Pagsanjan movie and TV director Louie Ignacio.

It was indeed a hectic schedule for Louie who has been working day in and day out for the advancement of his craft.

Submitting Louie's two important films to two separate international film festivals was honor and commitment for him and winning in respective occasions is already a bonus for the already awarded film artist.

Ignacio's "Papa Mascot," a movie on state-sponsored killing, won the Premio de Critica or Critics Award at the 44th Fantasporto International Film Festival.

"Thank you to the jury and the critics for loving my film...Congratulations to the 'Papa Mascot' team...Mabuhay po ang Pilipinas (Long live the Philippines)," exclaimed Louie in his acceptance speech who also acknowledged his producing company, Wide Film Productions.

Ignacio and his creative producer Ferdy Lapuz were in Fantasporto to participate in its 2024 edition.

Before Portugal, Louie's other film "AbeNida" won Best International Film at the 2024 Emirates Film Festival in Dubai where actors Allen Dizon and Katrina Halili were adjudged Best Actor and Best Actress for the film, respectively.

Ignacio is truly a workaholic artist as he was still working on his latest visual arts in his workshop in Pagsanjan before he flew abroad.
