P2.9-B illegal drugs intercepted at NAIA

The Bureau of Customs and the Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) turned-over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) last Thursday, October 26, some six abandoned inbound parcels containing illegal drugs amounting to P2,887,492.00 million.

These different parcels contained more or less 1,274 grams of marijuana (kush) with current street value of P1,783,600.00, four abandoned letter post and two abandoned parcels contained more or less 638 ecstasy (MDMA) tablets valued at P1,084,600.00, 577 grams of MDMA, and 3.64 grams of cocaine with a street value of P19,292.00 sent from California and Netherlands consigned to different persons living in Cavite, Montalban, Laguna, Pasig, Cainta, and in Quezon City Philippines.


The parcels were declared as foodsavers, Orbeez, wallets concealed in plastic, foil and plastic sachet wrapped heavily with black plastic wrappers.
