Barangay Tanod Mark Joseph Espinosa of Brgy. Tambo in Paranaque noticed an abandoned red Toyota Innova with plate number CDI 9724 along Quirino Avenue corner M. Delos Santos in said barangay at 5:30 p.m. yesterday.
By 2 a.m. today the car was still there and he requested police assistance from the Paranaque City Police Tambo Substation and responders proceeded to check the vehicle.
Upon initial inspection, the police officers noted that all doors were closed but not locked, all outside features of said vehicle were intact, all the windows and windshield were semi tainted but still visible inside and no sign of contraband was seen from the outside. They opened the car and spotted one brown backpack at the passenger seat, one box and one sack with still unknown contents.
Further investigation and crime scene processing by personnel of SOCO showed 27 vacuum sealed tee packed allegedly containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, a white sack, a white plastic, one Lazada box, two photocopies of OR/CR, a deed of sale of the motor vehicle, one OR/CR of a Nissan Sentra TKS 429, two photocopies of driver’s license belonging to a Ma. Teresa Fernandez y Belandres, a photocopy of Certificate of Live Birth, a copy of receiving payment, a TDS and EC meter hold, an ID card and a vaccination card belonging to Patani Barauntong, one white Romess Power bank, one black FUBU shirt, a brown leather Backpack, one Nissan key, 37 pieces of ₱50 bill, one official receipt (Maya) and a J-sport backpack.
An estimated 27 kilos of suspected illegal drugs estimated at ₱183.6 million were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit.
The whereabouts of the unidentified male who left the vehicle is still being followed up.
