City of San Fernando, Pampanga - A total of 4,570 scholars were granted cash incentives by the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

Governor Delta spearheaded the distribution alongside Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab in two separate venues held at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here and Guagua National Colleges (GNC) in the town of Guagua.

According to the governor the program marks a significant role in supporting the education of young Kapampangans.

Each student received P4,000 through the help of the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP).

“Gov Delta, isang malaking tulong po ito para sa aming mga estudyante para makatulong po sa mga gastusin po namin sa pang araw-araw sa eskwelahan. Malaking bagay na din po ito sa aming tuition fee,” said 29 years old Capitol scholar Estilito Miclat from Barangay Sta Lucia, Masantol.

According to the Provincial Library, among the 4,570 beneficiaries, 542 students have already graduated college, while 936 are currently in their fourth year.

To date, more than 14,000 Capitol scholars have benefited from the program this year.

Also present during the distributions were Guagua Mayor Anthony Joseph Torres, Board Members Fritzie David Dizon, Sajid Eusoof, Pol Balingit, PCL President Cherry Manalo. ABC President Atty. Claire Lim, and SK President JC Cruz.
