Olongapo City Pride Megan Young glows as host of 2024 Miss World; apologizes to Miss Bostwana

2013 Miss World, actress and Olongapo City Pride Megan Young was indeed Philippine belle of the ball as she co-emceed with Karan Johar at the 2024 Miss World quest held recently in Mumbai, India.

It's not only her husband Mikael Daez who was rooting for her as she conquered the whole of the hall but the world at her feet as well.

Megan was every inch a queen who was deeply enamored with her court and all the people who were cheering for her.

While the pageant proceedings were happening, Young was so confident and dedicated to her chore until she figured in an unforgettable encounter with one of the contest's aspirants, Miss Botswana.

It was Megan's turn to ask a question to Lesego Chombo, the rep from Botswana.

During the Q&A, Young touched the braided hair of Lesego.

Many Africans who were physically in the audience, watching on TV and online reacted negatively to the actuation of the Filipino beauty queen.

According to them, what Megan did was against the cultural tradition of the Africans.

Young immediately sent her apologies to Miss Botswana.

According to Megan, she has taken full responsibility for her action and admitted she committed a “thoughtless and disrespectful act.”

The 71st Miss World was an elegant show of its stage production judging from the television coverage of the event.

Krystyna Psyzkova of Czech Republic took home the 2024 Miss World crown.
