Filipino stans of pop star Olivia Rodrigo may have found yet another reason to love her more.
Following the success of the Manila leg of the Filipino-American pop star’s “Guts” World Tour last Sunday, October 6, Rodrigo announced that she will donate the entire proceeds of her concer to Jhpiego Philippines, a non-governmental organization focused on improving the health and lives of women and girls in underserved and conflict-affected areas.
In an Instagram story Sunday, Olivia expressed her excitement, sharing that all the net ticket sales from her Manila show went to Jhpiego through her "Fund 4 Good."
“I’m so stoked that all the net ticket sales from last night could be donated to @jhpiego,” she wrote, adding that her visit to the organization's headquarters left her impressed by their work.
"It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip. To say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it! Mahal kita," Olivia shared, expressing her gratitude to her Filipino fans.
The concert marked Olivia's first performance in the Philippines, which she described as a dream come true.
"Been dreaming of this show for a whileeeee. My first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!!!!!" she said, thanking her Manila audience for their warm welcome and @AmericanExpress for supporting the event.
