Beer enthusiasts unite!
This October, Solaire Resort and the German Club of the Philippines is set to host a grand “Oktoberfest” celebration in Manila.
A long-standing tradition in Germany, “Oktoberfest” – which bills itself as the “world’s largest festival” celebrates Bavarian tradition with delicious food and, of course, traditional German beer.
Guests can savor classic German dishes, enjoy free-flowing beer, and dance the night away with live performances by the Bavarian Sound Express.
Weihenstephaner, the world’s oldest brewery, is the official beer sponsor, and the event promises a memorable experience.
Solaire Resort North will also dedicate its second day to families, featuring activities for kids like a bouncy castle, face painting, carnival games, and a German costume photo booth, ensuring fun for all ages.
The feast includes traditional German breads and soft pretzels, perfect with Obatzda, a creamy beer cheese dip.
Other savory delights include cold cuts, cheeses, Munich-style sausage salad, potato salad, and tangy cabbage salad.
Main dishes offer a range of sausages, pork knuckle with wheat beer sauce, beef goulash, and sides of sauerkraut, roasted potatoes, and bread dumplings.
Desserts include apple strudel, caramelized pancakes, and Black Forest cake.
Meanwhile, Newport World Resorts is hosting its own Oktoberfest from October 24 to 26 at Hilton Manila.
More than a thousand guests are expected to enjoy Bavarian fare, live music, and endless beer.
Attendees can indulge in baked pretzels, bratwurst, schnitzel, and desserts like apple tart and Kaiserschmarrn, all paired with classic Bavarian draft beers from Weihenstephan Brewery.
Both events are set to bring the authentic Oktoberfest experience to the Philippines with delicious food, beer, and entertainment for all.
