In life as in death, Superstar and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Nora Aunor is the most decorated artist in the local entertainment industry.
Nora is loved yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Aunor’s posthumous birthday celebration was attended by many of her avid fans all over the world.
Imagine, there were many Noranians who came all the way from various parts of the Philippines and abroad just to physically join the memorialization of her natal day on May 21, 2025 which was held at the Walk of Fame in Eastwood City.
It was reminiscent of the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties when Noramania was at its height.
Nora fans brought and offered flowers, they lighted candles, said prayers and sang lively music to the star marker of the Superstar on Eastwood.
It was a sight very memorable like the way she was adored by her followers in the past.
During her 40 days, Noranians, led by professional career girl Marie Cusi, organized another get-together at the Libingan ng mga Bayani where they commemorated with honor the traditional forty day-observance after death.
Nora diehards were also around queuing up the Heritage Park and Crematorium in Taguig City where Nora’s remains laid in state.
No one can beat that sight of adulation if not idolatry.
Nora Aunor is indeed an immortal one.
She will remain alive in our hearts and minds.
No one in the history of the local entertainment industry has achieved the most illustrious feat except La Aunor.
Ate (a term of endearment to an older sister by blood or a woman by affinity) Guy is destined to be a national heroine.
