On April 16, 2025, I saw a post by netizen Marie Cusi, an avid Nora Aunor fan.
It said “Taas ng BP ko (My Blood Pressure is high). O Dear Lord God. Please Help Us Today.”
I presumed Marie was sick but I just liked her message.
As the day wore off, sad news reached us.
“Nora Aunor is dead.”
It was no fake news from well-meaning people.
From that devastating tiding, I thought that was the reason why Cusi has a high blood pressure.
Because Marie and her ilk are indeed committed and eternal fanatics of Nora Aunor.
Even offering their lives, they are willing to give for the benefit of their idol.
Whenever Nora was ill, Marie and cohorts would gather together to heal her.
Cusi remembers when La Aunor was in a health emergency when she did a movie titled “Yolanda” shot in Batangas with Howard Yambao at the helm.
According to Marie, “We SAVED ATE GUY’s LIFE years ago after her not so good HOT SHOOT. At Batangas for her film , ‘YOLANDA’ by an indie producer in the year 2016.
“And she GOT really TIRED.
“It’s URGENT. She called me to bring HER TO CARDINAL and she’s gasping her breath,
“I immediately requested DIREK Howard Yambao to fetch ATE Guy at her Eastwood condo and talked to EASTWOOD GUARD to allow him to enter her condo.
“I will just follow at the Cardinal Medical Center coming from Pque and it’s a traffic on a Saturday.
“Direk HOWARD has an appt to (sic) ATE GUY that day, late 9 pm to FIT HER GOWN with her designer.
“But I called him urgently to fetch.
“Thank you DIREK HOWARD.
“I asked for Sis Jen Donna Pergis Morera from Mandaluyong, sis Lita Munez from Manila to proceed to Cardinal asap to assist ATE GUY and they went immediately.
“FRIENDS who were ready to help ATE GUY in this URGENT SITUATION.
“Thank you, sis JEN, Sis Lita and SIR JOHN.
“I FIRST TEXTED her CHILDREN too of ATE GUY’s situation and had Requested them to Go to CARDINAL.
“I TEXTED Margie, the assistant of TITA ANGGE, her manager then To Follow at CARDINAL
“TITA ANGGE was sick then.
“PRAISE GOD For the GIFT OF LIFE extended to ATE GUY…
“Paalam (Goodbye), ATE GUY…
“Masaya KA na daw dyan sa paradise mo (You’re happy in your paradise now).
“TILL WE MEET again…”
Aunor finally bid adieu last April 16, 2025 of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
She was laid to rest the Libingan ng mga Bayani last April 22, 2025.
Meanwhile, Marie experienced a mysterious occurrence when two birds entered her room last On April 12, 2025, a Saturday afternoon. She was shocked to learn that these two birds had no entry point to the room so she wondered.
Because of this, Cusi couldn’t sleep.
She just prayed that she could see Nora in her room or even just a fleeting “PARAMDAM, her perfume, her floral scent.”
Incidentally, a call from a fellow Noranian which Marie immediately got.
She told the caller that a feeler must be the two birds in her room.
“Baka si Ms. Pilita at Ate Guy ang mga ‘yan (They might be Pilita (Corrales) and Old Sister Guy),” tweeted the fellow Noranian.
Cusi asked: “Is it already Tita Pilita who’s close to my Best Friend Forever (BFF) Monina Quiazon. And Ate Guy is visiting me in advance?”
Marie could only exclaim. “IT’S ONLY YOU GOD who can grant MY WISHES. And I think this wish is GRANTED. Prayers more For MS PILITA And MS NORA AUNOR. The MAGBALAEs (moms of a married couple) are now in their rooms in heaven.”
