The Cultural Center of the Philippines’ (CCP) resident theater company, Tanghalang Pilipino (TP) garnered a total of 17 awards at the recently concluded 15th Gawad Buhay Award, the Philippine Legitimate Stage Artists Group (Philstage) annual awarding component at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City.
Nonie Buencamino emerged as Best Actor in a Play for the piece “Balete,” a Tanghalang Pilipino production.
The progressive artist Chris Millado took home the Best Director Award in a Play, also for “Balete.”
