After its controversial decision to hike parking fees at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the airport's new management has also increased its meet-and-assist service fee.

The New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC) has raised the meet and assist regular service fee to P8,000 per passenger for both arrival and departure flights.

This is part of the changes after the NNIC took control of the operations and management of NAIA.

As part of these changes, the NNIC now offers three service options:

  • - Service Option 1 - It will accommodate up to nine passengers, access passes for coordinators and a vehicle pass, all for P50,000.
  • - Service Option 2 - Up to 10 to 20 passengers, four access passes for coordinators, and vehicle pass for P100,000.00.
  • - Service Option 3 - A package of 21 to 30 passengers, four access passes for coordinators and vehicle pass for P140,000.00.

NNIC placed a reminder for those requesting a meet and assist service, stating that only the service will be provided and the lounge cannot be used.

Before, the former operator of NAIA - the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) - was charging P800.00 per passenger for regular assistance.

Another option is to use a VIP Lounge, which includes a vehicle pass, with assistance from Public Affairs Office personnel, and costs around P4,032.00.

The VIP Lounge accommodation is strictly for up to 10 persons and offers at least three to four guest passes for visitors meeting passengers after they pass through immigration.

An additional P201.60 will be charged if the number of people exceeds 10.

On October 1, NAIA parking fees increased following the transition of management and operations to San Miguel-led NNIC.

NNIC stated that the changes in fees were implemented in order to sustain and enhance facilities, while also aiming to deter non-passengers from parking for extended periods of time.
