The World Health Organization (WHO) has released new and updated protocols based on the lessons gained from Covid-19. The guidelines will focus on identifying potential virulent mutations . With Covid-19 easing worldwide, the public across the world must be prepared for any eventualities.
In October last year, the results of the physician licensure exam were released. This heralded the new batch of doctors who had to finish their studies during the height of the pandemic. Many of whom were reported not having any personal experience in the field until their last year in medical school. Most younger graduates said they were anxious as to how to apply what they had learned during their classroom days.
Despite the new ideas and facts in the fight against Covid-19, we are in need of capable medical personnel who can handle such issues. These grads need to bridge the gap between what the theory says and what actually happens in the actual world. If we encounter another new strain of Covid-19 or a new disease, physicians should be more than equipped to be in control of the host of diseases that will come their way.
