I presume the series "Love Siargao" is a reaction to ABS-CBN's upcoming television drama "Someone, Someday" which was already in the pipeline of the Star Network projects last year.

"Someone, Someday" is being topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid.

For the first time, Kathryn is teamed up with the comebacking James who was hooked to talent management and video production after he and Nadine Lustre called it quits as lovers.

Reid didn't actually leave show business but just took time out from acting.

It must have been difficult for James to go on with his acting career with so many challenges and bumpy roads strewn on his path.

But ABS-CBN was smart enough to pull him up again from inactivity.

Interestingly, if not intriguingly, his comeback as an actor is a welcome treat with a leading lady not stranger to him.

Kathryn has been a regular chum and a fellow Star Magic star.

It's indeed stranger than fiction that James love interest in the project has resemblance to his ex-girlfriend Nadine.

Since the start of Bernardo and Lustre's multimedia careers, the two women were compared and contrasted with the same facial looks.

Until now, there are still many showbiz observers who mistake one from the other.

"Magkamukha talaga sila (They look like each other)," commented bitchy entertainment reporter and editor Art Tapalla.

It is indeed fascinating that James new leading lady has facial and physical similarities with her erstwhile girlfriend and love team.

That must also be intriguing for him.

Will Kath and James be attracted to each other off-cam?

As of now, the two (or their handlers?) have adapted the portmanteau KathReid.

Let's wait and see.

Meanwhile, Nadine is paired off with Kathryn's perennial screen love partner Alden Richards.

The partnership of Bernardo and Alden is formidable and a box-office hit.

Will "Love, Siargao" be a consistent top-rater on the boobtube?

Could Siargao as a pristine and cool scenery be the factor in Nadine and Alden's initial pairing?

According to Viu Philippines, "Love, Siargao" will be streamed at Viu.

I presume that it will also be telecast in Kapuso Network where Richards is signed up.

In Viu Philippines' announcement, this is its headline:

"ASIA'S MULTIMEDIA STAR MEETS THE PRESIDENT!" with a smiley emoji.

"Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre are teaming up for their biggest upcoming series yet. The Siargao Magic gets real this 2026. 'Love, Siargao,' coming soon only on Viu!," stated the digital posts.
