Parents in Muntinlupa City will no longer have to worry about providing school supplies for their kids.
According to the city government of Muntinlupa, it will spearhead the distribution of free supplies for over 98,000 public school students in this city, from daycare to Grade 12, in time for the early opening of classes on July 29.
"Mayroon po tayong gagawing pag-distribute ng atin pong balik eskwela package, kung natatandaan niyo last year, tayo po'y manahagi ng mga school supplies at sapatos para po sa pasukan. So sa darating na july, sa opening po ng school year tayo po ay mag-didistribute ng balik eskwela packages, covering ang early childhood education, kinder, at grades 1–12, kasama po diyan yung junior and senior high school, so ito po ay estimated na 98,000 recipients ang ating bibigyan na mga estudyante," Mayor Ruffy Biazon said in a video announcement.
Students in early childhood education will receive a backpack, two notebooks, crayons, a tumbler, two jumbo pencils, and pad paper.
While the students in kindergarten will receive a backpack, jumbo crayons, pencil sharpener, 2 jumbo pencils, pad paper, 8 notebooks, and rubber shoes with a shoe bag.
Grades 1-6 will also receive a backpack, 8 notebooks, 3 ballpens, pad paper, crayons, and rubber shoes with a shoe bag.
Thus, the students from Grades 7–12 will receive a backpack, eight spiral notebooks for junior high and ten spiral notebooks for senior high school, three ballpens, and black rubber shoes with shoe bags.
“Tulong ito ng city government para sa pag-aaral ng mga kabataang Muntinlupeño. Gusto nating mabawasan ang mga balakid sa pag-aral ng mga bata; gusto nating may access sila sa mga oportunidad para magtagumpay sa buhay," Biazon added.
